Employer Resource Advocate Help Remove

Barriers to Success

Supporting Employee Success

United Way of the West Shore provides a Employer Resource Advocate to ten local partner companies. This collaborative program is designed to support employee success. Each participating workplace has access to an on-site Employer Resource Advocate who works directly with employees to address challengers that may interfere with job performance or long-term wellbeing.

From April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025, our top services provided were:

  • Personal loans for unexpected expenses

  • Housing assistance

  • Health-related assistance

  • Coordination of external services to support employee success

The program offers financial assistance tools through our partner West Shore Bank, as well as transportation funding provided directly by United Way of the West Shore.
